These tiny ghosts are printed on glow in the dark acrylic with a gloss layer to protect the design. The acrylic is off white and probably closest to Pantone 7541C for those that like specifics!
 
The backs are stainless steel and have been bonded with a clear jewellery glue, as these are handmade it may be visible around the base on some sets (sorry, these things happen!).  The backs have been tested for durability, but like most handmade earrings, please be gentle with them.
 
The strength of the glow will vary depending on the source they are charged with.  For the photos in this listing they have been exposed to a UV torch which will produce the strongest effect.
