The yellow border patch is sew on only. The pink/purple border variants are iron on.
I personally do not recommend the iron on glue to be used exclusively. It's good for holding the patch in place before sewing or if you're like me and have absolutely zero sewing skills then there are plenty of decent fabric glues that can be used in addition.
 
'Level 1 Goblin' head patches are available separately.
